An early flight demanded that Swami’s entourage arrived early at the Changi Airport to board their flight to Bali. A short two- hour through the skies, and the entourage landed at the Ngurah Rai Denpasar Airport, and were lovingly welcomed by Mrs Dewi Yoga, the main organiser for Swami’s trip to Indonesia, and other devotees from Sai Pooja Ashram. After almost an hour, wading through massive city traffic, the entourage arrived at the divine Ashram. Swami manifested there and it was magical when He stepped out of the car!
Tears of love washed the street. It was overwhelming to see the energy of Bhagawan engulf the pure hearted simple Balinese devotees. Swami later said, “These are no ordinary tears, shedding tears for God is a rare gift!”
Lunch was served to Swami and all the guests, and everyone rested for a brief while, before arriving for the Public Satsang at the Satsang Hall at Sai Pooja Ashram. Swami entered the Bhajan Hall at 5:30 p.m. amidst melodious Bhajans. Sai youth of Bali welcomed their beloved Lord, and a short cultural presentation of various kinds of traditional dances were offered at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet. Thereafter, Swami blessed all the children profusely who performed right from a tiny tot all of 6 years to the college students.
Mr Isaac Tigrett was the first speaker of the evening. He reminisced how he had visited Bali as a young man, and thought this must be the play land for Gods! The divine energy and the simplicity of the Balinese were so overpowering. He expressed his happiness of coming back to the country, which is divine and beautiful.
Sri C Sreenivas, the next speaker started by saying that the evening had become even more beautiful, as all were in the direct and immediate presence of Swami. “He has made a visit here yet again, in the form that He is in here! What has been our experience? To me as a representative of Swami’s team, Sai Pooja means simplicity, and in that simplicity, lies all the beauty of life. Every intent born is born simple. But how we retain that simplicity in our lives, and therefore the beauty of life, is so amply reflected at Sai Pooja Ashram. I will take this back as a lesson – to keep life simple. Sri Sreenivas also spoke about the simple love, understanding, and service of the Balinese, and confessed that the second lesson is the immense love for Swami, and more importantly the immense love of people of Sai Pooja Ashram.
Sri B N Narasimha Murthy reminisced the previous visit of Swami to Sai Pooja Ashram. When Swami emerged from His room, looking at the various photographs which were covered with Vibuti and Kumkum, He had questioned as to how all these miracles were taking place. When Sri Narasimha Murthy said it must be Swami Himself, Swami denied but when he said it must be Swami’s Angels, the Lord replied in the affirmative saying, “Yes, like all of you are here to serve Me in this world, I have Devathas and other beings to serve Me in other worlds!” He quoted Lord Krishna saying that through Ananya Bhakti or steady devotion, human beings can attain Him.
Sri Narasimha Murthy said, “When we come to Sai Pooja Ashram, we see pure love. Once we develop devotion, we get everything, including true happiness. We earn the courage to face the ups and downs of life, when we develop true devotion to God. With Daiva Prema and Jeeva Karunya – love for God and compassion for all beings, we become dear to Swami. In the Narada Bhakti Sutra the greatest devotee of God has been mentioned as the Gopikas. Noting satisfies Swami, other than humility and selfless love.”
Swami started by saying that “It is from love that the entire creation has come forth, and it is in love alone, that the whole of the creation merges back. There is no place in this world, where there is no love. The Creator of this entire creation has nothing that He needs, as He owns everything, and His hands are always stretched to give, and not receive. If God has ever stretched His hand, it is for the sake of love, whether it was in the form of the half-eaten berries of Shabhari or a bowl of butter from the Gopikas. God never stretched His hand in front of the wealthy and mighty!”
Swami then narrated a story when Krishna visited Hasthinapura, and was invited by the Kurus. Bhishma invited Him to his silver palace, while Duryodhana invited Him to his golden palace, and Dhritrashtra invited Krishna to his palace which was studded with precious gems. But instead of accepting all these invitations, Krishna went to the thatched roof hut of Vidhura. He did not eat the finest of the royal gourmet food, but just ate banana. And out of devotion, as he was gazing at the beauty of Lord Krishna, without realising, Vidhura threw the fruit, and offered the peels to his divine Lord. Krishna ate the peels, and didn’t utter a word, which is the true power of love!
Swami said, “God cannot be bound, He is infinite. But this one bond or thread of love, can bind Him to you forever. This is the beauty of the relation between lord and the devotees! Why should Swami bring all these people here, out of all places in the world? It is because of the pure and unsullied love that is uncontaminated without any desire. And this is all that Swami hungers and thirsts for, just love God purely and selflessly, that’s all! If you get Swami, you have attained everything. There is nothing that you have to look forward to, no greater experience to be experienced, if you have experienced the love for Swami, and love of Swami. God loves everyone, as He is the mother and father. So, there is nothing great when God loves you! But the great fortune comes when you are able to love God!”
Glorifying the devotee over the Lord, Swami quoted the example of Radha and said that she comes before Krishna, ‘Radha Krishna’ is chanted and not ‘Krishna Radha’.
After the soulful closing Bhajan – ‘Radhe Krishna’ by Sumeet Tappoo, an emotional Swami spoke again soon after Arati.
Swami announced that a devotee always comes first before the Lord, like Radha Krishna, as the devotion of a devotee is far greater than the Lord Himself. Therefore, He renamed the Ashram ‘Pooja Sai Ashram’ instead of ‘Sai Pooja Ashram’, looking at the pure love and devotion of Smt Pooja, who has been serving the Lord along with her husband Sri Prabhu ji, by serving the sick and needy since 2010 when the Ashram was built miraculously.
The whole crowd burst in to a thunderous applause on this special benediction.
Swami then met the Balinese team who are working towards the construction of the medical centre, and blessed them with all the needed guidance and advise. Dinner was served, and Swami retired for the night.
