Divine Visit – Mandya – July 04 & July 05, 2017

From Hassan, Swami proceeded to shower His love and grace on the students and staff of Sri Sathya Sai Sharadaniketanam, Mandya campus. Swami landed at 11.45 a.m. along with Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, and Sri Madan Gupta from Dubai.

Swami was received amidst great joy and reverence with Poorna kumbham and Veda Ghosha by the students. Receiving guard of honour by 245 students and staff members, Swami reached Sai Hrudayam, His residence and the school building.

Swami took the guests to His room and expressed His happiness about the room. He came down to Sai Hrudayam Prayer hall in few minutes and surprisingly sat for Darshan. He commanded Sri BN Narasimha Murthy to speak about the two days programme in Hampi and Hassan. He explained about the Bhoomi Pooja programme at Hampi and Swami’s visit to Hassan campus. He spoke about the infinite love and grace of Swami which is expressed in the form of opening a school per district in Karnataka. Arati was to Swami, and along with the guests, Swami proceeded to the residence of Sri G M Anantha Murthy, Chairman of the campus.

The evening session started by 5.45 p.m. in the Divine Presence. After soul stirring Bhajans and Veda chanting, Sri GM Anantha Murthy welcomed Swami and His guests. More than 250 parents and devotees had gathered for the programme. The students offered a bouquet of programmes which included Songs, a speech and a dance. Students sang classical, devotional songs in Hindi, English, Telugu and Kannada. Rohil K, a student studying in class X shared the story of His transformation and thanked Swami for all His blessings. The dance about the ‘Beauty of His Darshan’ touched the hearts of the devotees. All the students and staff together touched their heart and sang the group song ‘Hum Tere Hain Sai’ which made Swami very emotional.

A new projector with remote screen that was installed to show Live Darshan’s at Sathya Sai Grama was inaugurated by Swami with the Video ‘Bharatha Bhagya Vidhatha’. Swami commanded Sri Rajashekhar G B to speak. Thereafter, Swami commanded Sri Madan Gupta to address the gathering, who reminded the students of the responsibilities of a Sai student towards the society. On Swami’s command Sri B N Narasimha Murthy spoke about Swami’s wish, which is to prepare good students rather than great students.

He introduced the next Chairman, Sri Rajashekhar G B and spoke about his dedication and surrender to Swami since his student life, by referring to him as “old head on young shoulders”.

In His Divine discourse Swami spoke about realizing the divinity within. He compared our life to a car and explained the importance of discrimination which will guide our destiny. Swami told the students it is the ripe time to develop higher values and start implementing it in our lives. After Arati and dinner, Swami retired for the night.

The next morning, after breakfast, Bhajans commenced at around 9.30. a.m. Swami asked Sri B N Narasimha Murthy to speak to the gathering. He spoke about Swami’s divine leelas and His love for students.

Later Swami visited the classrooms of the students and blessed them. He visited the staffroom and guided the teachers about moulding the children. Swami said, “I am like a tank. Students are like taps. Teachers will be the pipe through which water flows. If the pipe has blockage due to dust or air block, water will not flow.”

He guided them to ‘First Be and then preach’. Students follow what teachers do rather than what they say. He explained the importance of harmony of thought –word – deed. He blessed the staff members with Vibhuthi, Prasadam and a group photo.

Swami then visited the library and science lab, and spoke briefly to the teachers. Swami inaugurated the new computer lab, and thereafter visited the offices of Warden, Secretary, Chairman and blessed them. In the accounts department, Swami reminded that His photos should be fixed facing the people working which will constantly remind them that they are serving Him rather than just working. He then inaugurated the new digital class room and interacted with the students of Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva High school at Muddenahalli, from Mandya. He even commanded Dr. Shashidhar Prasad to address them through digital class. He advised the IT department office bearers to introduce the same in all the campuses.

Later Swami visited the Shiva temple and Gavi Siddeshwara temple. He blessed the idol of Sri Gavisideshwara Swamiji by applying Vibuthi on the forehead. He entered the sanctum sanctorum of Shiva temple and blessed Shiva Lingam. He commanded to perform Rudrabhishekam and Rudra Homam on a Monday, in the coming weeks, and pray for good rains not only for the campus, but for the whole area.

After Arati, Swami Swami departed to Sathya Sai Grama at 11.50 a.m. Thus ended Bhagawan’s three-day trip to the three-campuses.
