The simple, yet lofty prayer of the young student inspired everyone present.

Sports Meet – An occasion to teach greater lesson in life – Summary of Divine Discourse on 30 January, 2016

Soul of education is the education of the soul. Without this kind of education, all these large institutions are just well-decorated dead bodies without life. It is not just enough if you build large buildings, provide all kinds of facilities for education, sports, and cultural activities. The most important aspect of our educational institutions is the soul of education which is Daiva Priti (love for God).

Annual Sports and Cultural Meet 2016 – Day 4 (Evening)

Swami has always said, the purpose of all that we do is self-transformation. And only selfless service can encourage a person to reach the higher state of humanity. Annual Sports and Cultural Meet 2016 – Day 2 (Evening)

The evening celebrations for day two of the third Annual Sports and Cultural Meet 2016 featured a drama titled “Moving in the Immovable”, which was a collective presentation by the students of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Kendra, the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva High School and the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva PU College, Muddenahalli campus.

The play was a humorous take on an interesting journey of a young boy named Archie along with Jesus Christ – who teaches him life lessons, through various stories and anecdotes from his own life. Archie progressively realizes the significance of Christ’s own dictums, slowly transitioning from ‘I am in the light’ to ‘The light is in me’ to ‘I am the light.’

The distilled wisdom of Jesus Christ was beautifully brought out by the protagonist Archie, who beleived that God was somewhere up beyond all the universes and galaxies, and hence desired to become an astronaut. Lord Jesus appeared in his dream to take him on a journey across different levels of existence and consciousness. Archie is invited to ‘Come, Explore and Experience God’. He first meets Isa in his dream, who has been on a quest from the past 12 years in a desert, to find his ‘Real Father’. Little Archie gets confused about who this real father is when a father already exists in body. Archie bids goodbye and gives Isa his torchlight, to light up at night in the desert. Isa then conveys a very profound message that he was surrounded by light all the time, and the divine light was guiding him.

True education is education for the body, mind and spirit – Summary of Divine Discourse on 17 January, 2016

The word ‘vidya’ has two syllables: vid and ya; ‘vid’ means to know and ‘ya’ means that – to know that. What is that we should know? We should know the truth. What is that truth? Who are you and what your inner truth is: to know this is true education. The pursuit of education all over the world is to know whatever is happening outside in the world; no effort is made to know what is happening inside us.

All men and women, once older, drown worrying about many issues. All the time they are only worrying – chinta, and not in chintana– contemplation of the Lord. If you really contemplate on God, you have no reason to be worried about. For the human worry, there is no real solution at all. If we […]

Divine Visit – Singapore & Malaysia – Day Four & Five – 07 January 2016 & 08 January 2016

As Swami walked out of the temple, one could very well recall reading about the Lord’s visit to the shrines in North India, where He recharged the idols at Rishikesh, Badrinath and Kedarnath. It probably would have been very similar to what everyone witnessed that day in Kuching.

Divine Visit – Singapore & Malaysia – Day Three – 06 January, 2016

When we truly love God, we love everyone. Merely theoretical knowledge of the idea of loving all is no good. It has to be practiced, and this can only be done when love is translated into service.
