Sri Sathya Sai Vrindawith Love, at His service

What is the shortest path to God? – Divine Discourse Summary – December 15, 2019

From time immemorial, many have tried to become immortal. Not a single person succeeded in it. The body that was made of five elements had to go back to the five elements; nobody could stop it. However, those who lived their lives by the principle of truth and earned a good name thereby, they are immortal even today and we all remember them with great reverence.

Anna was one such person. As we install the statue of Madiyal Narayan Bhat in the premises of the university, it occurred to Me that it was his dream that such a university should be founded which should produce men and women of sacrifice and character who will go to the corners of the country, to the villages, to the most remote and rural areas and work tirelessly for the welfare of the people. I am only a facilitator of his dream. The idea was his, the prayer was his, the pining was his.

My courage, My conviction, My hope comes from My students. When we open new campuses in such remote, rural corners – there is no electricity, there is no water system, there are no roads, at least 20 km around there is not even people around, no facilities –  yet children go there and do Seva because they want to do it for Swami and that is what they have thought of as the goal of their life without getting distracted by any other things. So now if somebody asks Me, I will tell them, “Don’t fear; My students are here.” This has never happened in the history of mankind. This is for the first time that such a thing is happening and therefore, it seems unbelievable to many minds. So today if I tell, I want to open one campus in every district of the country and someday it will happen, may not happen tomorrow, may not happen in a year or two but over a period of time it will happen. And even if I am not there to do it, I know My students will do it.

If these children take up this responsibility to change the world through their service, through their sacrifice, through their tireless efforts, there is no doubt that the world will see the golden age, there is no doubt about it. I am just giving you an idea as to what is coming next. If in last eight years this has been done, you can only imagine what can happen in the next 8 years with these many students by My side. Let us be fearless like lions, selfless like lions, never be afraid of what we have to do for the others, never be afraid of making a sacrifice for others’ sake. That is the way Me and My students should be.
