Sri Sathya Sai Vrindawith Love, at His service

When does Swami consider the student’s education is complete? – Inauguration of Sri Sathya Sai Sriniketanam Jayapura – Divine Discourse Summary – November 05, 2018

A human does not become a human unless he grows beyond the boundaries of ‘I’ and ‘mine’ and thinks in a broader way about ‘us’ and ‘ours’. Today where the world stands, it is the most progressed and progressive time in the history of the human race, it is a time of technology, it is a time of conveniences, it is the wealthiest period of the human race. But at the same time, it is also the worst of times when poverty, violence, disharmony and many social evils are widespread; never before it has happened.

These problems of the world cannot be solved unless we humans become selfless, we cross the boundaries of selfishness, of ‘I’ and ‘mine’ and think of everyone else, till then world peace is not possible. The day you learn to put others before yourself, I would consider that your education is fulfilled, it is complete. You may excel in all kinds of academic education, in all co-curricular activities, very good, I will be happy with that but above everything else, I would be happier if you turn into individuals who are selfless in nature, who think of others before themselves and thereby you strive to bring world peace and harmony. We must derive great joy and satisfaction that we all have been able to do something for the greater good of humanity for centuries to come. That is Amrutatva, that is immortality that what you do remains much beyond you, much beyond your lives to benefit the mankind. That is the right kind of life that I would like you all also to lead.

See, Arthis, Artharthis, Jijnasus, Jnanis all kinds of devotees come to God asking for different different things. The best of the lot are Jnanis. They ask for God Himself, they don’t ask for anything less than that because they know that if they get God, all their Arthi Artharthi Jijnasu all problems will be solved; it is one blank cheque, we can fill any amount. This is the kind of education you must have, that should make you Jnani, that should make you want God and nothing else because everything else follows God like a shadow follows the object. May you all use these opportunities well, may you all progress well in your life. Along with you, take ten others also forward. Help them also. Take them also towards God. That should be the way of these institutions. This is My wish. Be good, help each other, serve each other, respect and serve the elders and parents, look after younger ones as your own brothers and sisters, live in harmony, live in peace.
