Why Have You Got This Body? – Divine Discourse Summary – Bhoomi Puja of Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centre For Child Heart Care & Training In Pediatric Cardiac Skills, Navi Mumbai – November 26, 2017

Sarve bhavantu sukhinaha Sarve santu niramaya Sarve bhadrani pashyantu Ma kaschid dukha mapnoyat

This is our Indian culture which prays for everyone for it believes in the whole world being one family – Vasudhaiva kutumbakam. Long before it has crossed the narrow limits of ‘I’ and ‘mine’ and has shown the way to the rest of humanity that whole world must be considered as one’s own. However, just praying would not make the world happier or healthier or free from all kinds of difficulties. These prayers must go along with service. Therefore, hands that serve are holier than lips that pray.

Continuing this work of prayer and service together, we are here to open another chapter in the healthcare mission by beginning the construction of another hospital in Mumbai. It was long due prayer of Indulal Shah and several devotees of Mumbai to have a hospital of Baba here which is happening today and that gives immense joy.

In 2011 when Bhagawan told C Sreenivas during the Bhumi puja of Raipur hospital that soon this will grow into a 1000 bed free facility across the country, only two people believed that statement. One was Baba Himself, the other was C Sreenivas. But today with the third hospital now beginning to start here, it is coming to become a reality. Good work should attract and be rewarded by more good work. So even as we are here gathered to commence work for another hospital, just as I had told a year ago in Delhi that we would meet on this very day in Mumbai – another part of India – to begin another work in healthcare, let Me also convey to you the good news that while we will be opening this hospital on this very same day – not a day before or after – in the coming year, with the first surgery, we will also be initiating yet another hospital in Kolkata the next year.

The whole creation is serving: the trees serve, the rivers serve, the cows yield milk for others’ sake and this body has been given for service. And through thousands of hands, heads, eyes, feet and bodies, God serves His own people. Become an instrument – flawless and selfless – in the hands of the Divine, serve each other as brothers and sisters, love each other as brothers and sisters and let us not ever give in to any selfishness.

This is the message that Swami conveys on this very auspicious occasion. With bountiful blessings to one and all who are here to participate and take forward this mission of providing relief to the poor children of not only this state or this country but for the entire world. With bountiful blessings, I conclude.
