“Engage yourselves in service activity. Consider social service as service to God. This is the best way to earn God’s Love. Love all and serve all. Your entire life will be sanctified thereby.” ~ Baba
If Bhagawan Baba’s life and message are to be summed in two words, they are love and selfless service. Be it in his discourses or conversations with devotees, Swami has always exhorted all of us to equip ourselves with loving speech and put in to practice the idea of selfless service. It is to achieve this twin purpose that Seva Vrinda was established by Swami in the early months of 2015. Seva Vrinda, was made open to all volunteers older than 35 years of age and those under 60 years. This association will act as a vehicle for all those willing to lend themselves to the service of the poor and downtrodden.
Swami has laid great emphasis on the need to offer selfless service because it is the ideal of service that has the ability to remove the ego; it promotes love and affection; it takes one away from worldly attachments and puts one on the path of the Divine. Selfless service is a tool to express our love for Swami and in turn experience Swami’s love. It is under His guidance that this group has been created for every participant to realize his innate divinity through the practice of divine love through service.
Come Ye All, and be part of this initiative where hands, heads and hearts join to offer loving service and enjoy the peace that passeth understand.
Inspired by the ideals of “Service to Man is Service to God”, under the Divine Guidance of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, nutritious breakfast is served daily to the under-privileged school going children across several locations in Bangalore and Chennai. Over time, this Seva is expanded to Bal Vikas activities, inculcating in them the habits of daily prayer, bhajans, veda chanting and cleanliness.
“Sri Sathya Sai Aarogya Vahini ” is another project from the stable of Healthcare Mission of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who envisioned Institutional Free Healthcare for all and established the Temples of Healing. This project targets to provide quality Health Care Services in the remote villages of West Bengal with a mobile medical van, spreading Love on Wheels.
