The Bhoomi Pooja for the third hospital – Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centre for Cardiac Care and Training in Pediatric Cardiac skills in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai took place on the November 26, 2017 in the Divine Presence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, unfolding yet another event in the history of His grand health mission. The Bhoomi Pooja was performed by the honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sri Devendra Fadnavis along with Bharat Ratna winner and legendary son of Cricket Sri Sachin Tendulkar. The other dignitaries who were a part of this event were Revered Sri Indulal Shah, Sri Som Bahanda, Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, Sri C Sreenivas and Mr Isaac Tigrett , Founder of Hard Rock Café and the House of Blues. The Bhoomi Puja was held in the divine presence of Bhagawan, and the architect plans were also shared with the dignitaries present.
Dr Shruti Prabhu welcomed the august gathering. Set under the tenets of Love All, Serve All, Dr. Shruti gave a wonderful introduction by presenting the statistics of tremendous work in the field of cardiac care in the last five years by the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani centers at Naya Raipur and Palwal, Haryana. Over 20,000 pediatric cardiac consultations, 200 pediatric catheter interventions, 4000 cardiac surgeries along with community outreach activities offering holistic and sustained care to children not only from India but from countries such as Bangladesh, Nigeria, Liberia, Figi, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, etc. In India alone more than 2 crore and 50 lakh suffer the burden of cardiac disease due to expensive treatments. Nevertheless, the different inspiring stories from these hospitals have changed the expressions from despair to hope, and are adding value to the smiles of the many beneficiaries of these hospitals. A heart touching and inspiring video was played featuring the sacred and awesome journey from Naya Raipur to Navi Mumbai through Delhi with the foundation in Puttaparthi. This stupendous healthcare has reached more than eight thousand villages and services worth more than 100 crores have been delivered thus far.
Sri C Sreenivas addressed gathering and the message sent by Sri Narendra Modi, Honorable Prime Minister of India. Sri C Sreenivas expressed that this Centre will become yet another edifice of love and service and a temple in itself where every child will be regarded not as an image of God but God Himself. He recollected Bhagawan Baba’s words “Every child is some parent’s child: Every child is someone’s brother or sister: Can you charge your own daughter or son for giving them life?” He went on to say that a combination of Divine Will and human endeavor will never turn back. He also gave a brief introduction about the other aspects of the Divine Mission – the Sathya Sai system of values-based education. The Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna programme that is currently catering to nutritious breakfast for about 100000 children everyday. He concluded his talk by reiterating the power of gratitude and goodness as quintessential aspects of giving back to the society.
This was followed by Bhagawan’s Divine message by Bhagwan Baba where He mentioned of the whole world as being one family. Swami said “Praying alone will not make anyone happier or healthier. It is the hands that serve that are holier than the lips that pray. Good work should be rewarded by more good work.” Swami revealed in His discourse that on this very same day next year, the first surgery will be done in this hospital and Swami will also intiate yet another hospital in Kolkata. Swami gave the message to everyone that we should serve and love everyone as brothers and sisters. He conveyed His bountiful blessings to the entire gathering and brought His discourse to a close.
Sri Sachin Tendulkar, the next speaker, expressed his surprise over the gathering of people from more than 35 countries in the world for this glorious event and also about quality healthcare delivered totally free of cost to the underprivileged sections of society. He said that if we are able to make more and more children smile, then we are certainly helping people to recover from this disease, making their lives happier. He reminded the message of Swami: “Do the job to the best of your ability and the results will follow.” He concluded by thanking the Chief Minister and his team for their unflinching support to this holy cause.
Invoking the blessings of Baba, The Chief Minister of Maharashtra addressed the gathering. He thanked the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani trust for choosing Navi Mumbai for catering to the needs of the society. He confessed saying that it would be he would be witnessing a hospital with no billing counter. When children of various ages are saved, it is indeed a representation of God’s healing touch. He expressed his admiration over the speed with which the entire team had worked in spearheading the preparations and bringing it to this stage. “No work can be better”, he said assuring the combined support of Government and himself to partner for making this a success story.
Sri C Srinivas extended his vote of thanks to the Chief Minister for his magnanimous handholding support. He also thanked Small Industries Development Corporation (SIDCO) headed by Sri Bhushan Ghagrani and his entire team who worked with amazing speed to make this event a reality.
Sri Aravind Thyagarajan, an innovator and Scientist from California, and more importantly a student of late Dr A PJ Abdul Kalm, addressed the gathering next. He spoke about a new invention, a modernized and advanced Stethoscope. This device can capture EKG in less than ten seconds and the results could be uploaded to cloud when connected to a smart phone through Bluetooth. This would help in identification of complicated cases nationwide thereby helping in monitoring and timely intervention thus preventing fatal outcomes. He said that he and his team are in the process of working on algorithms that can intelligently detect any cardiac abnormalities to help prioritizing surgeries in the future. He also made a pleasant announcement of offering the new equipments worth one Crore Rupees to the Sai Sanjeevani Hospitals.
