On arrival from Gadag, Bhagawan was lovingly received and welcomed at the helipad by all the dignitaries and Bhagawan’s students by a Vedic procession in Belgaum on the auspicious occasion of the Bhoomi Puja of Sri Sathya Sai Nithyaniketanam campus.
He then proceeded to the forest guest house which He blessed with His Sparsham and divine presence. After refreshing Himself, He left for the Bhoomi Pujan site.
He was welcomed ceremoniously with a Poorna Kumbham and Vedic recitation by the students of the Bijapur campus.
Bhagawan then initiated the Bhoomi Puja for the Sri Sathya Sai Nithyaniketanam campus after which all the dignitaries present, including some of the staff and guests, also performed the Bhoomi Puja as per Bhagawan’s guidance. On Bhagawan’s suggestion, as it was day of Vasanth Panchami, it was added to the plaque.
The Bhoomi Puja for the Sri Sathya Sai Nithyaniketanam campus ended with a Vedic invocation.
Thereafter, the chief guest, Sri Aravind Patil, Ex-MLA expressed his gratitude to Bhagawan for starting an educational institution with value-based education in that area and prayed to Bhagawan to bless the entire region; he also shared with those present his long association with Bhagawan.
Bhagawan then lovingly commanded one of the Veda students, Kencharya, Grade 8 to give an extempore speech by sharing his experiences to inspire all present on the occasion. Indeed, many were moved to tears on hearing his speech; Bhagawan appreciated his speech by blessing him with a chain.
Next in line to share his experiences with Bhagawan was alumni Girish Badiger who enthusiastically shared how once Bhagawan had blessed him to take the lead in youth Seva activities in Belgaum district, and by doing so, many lives were transformed. At the end of his inspiring speech, Bhagawan lovingly blessed with a token of His love.
Thereafter, Sri Karisiddappa, the Vice Chancellor of Visweswaraya Technological University (VTU) expressed his happiness & gratitude to Bhagawan for starting an educational institution based on value education such as Sri Sathya Sai Nitya Niketanam. He stressed that this Institute would impact all the people in the neighbourhood; he also made it loud and clear to all present that it indeed was the greatest opportunity for the students in the neighbouring villages to join Sri Sathya Sai Institute. He finally ended his speech by saying that he would be honoured to extend his full support to this Institute in any way that was required of him.
The next speaker, Sri M S Sathyanarayana, Trustee, Prashanthi Balamandira Trust briefed the gathering about the various Seva activities carried on by Sri Sathya Sai Institutions and explained how it had a great impact on society. He also shared how Bhagawan was helping the students and the poor alike by starting such educational institutions.
Sri B N Narasimha Murthy Sir explained the importance of value-based education for poor children and shared how the Sathya Sai system of education impacted society by quoting various examples including the example of alumni Girish Badiger.
The programme came to a close with the much-awaited highlight — Bhagawan’s discourse — in which He revealed how His students were making a change in society. He also shared how one could become a role model, and mentioned how blessed the region was to get His educational institution, as it would change the lives of the poor students who would study in it. He further went on to predict that the campus would be a great spiritual centre and retreat. Finally, He blessed everybody as He completed His discourse.
Bhagawan rounded up the function with lunch at the guest house after which He returned to Gadag.
