Bhagawan’s retinue which consisted of 350 people – students, staff and devotees, after a very early breakfast, proceeded towards Brindavan. This trip to Brindavan and Mathura was the highlight of the 10-day trip, as the visit to these two holy places was with Sai Krishna Himself! Every single person was filled with immense gratitude for having been given this unique opportunity to accompany the Lord. The first stop was at the historic, ancient and auspicious Sri Banke Bihari Temple in Brindavan. The image of Bihariji installed in the Sri Banke Bihari Mandir, is the one granted to Swami Haridas by the celestial couple Shyama-Shyam themselves. Submitting to the desire of devotees, The Lord appeared in person with His divine consort and left back a black charming image before disappering. The temple was brimming with devotees chanting the name of their beloved Krishna. Walking with Swami inside the temple, and hearing Him reveal the story of the temple was indeed amazing!
At the Banke Bihari Temple before He went up to the inner chambers of the temple, Swami said, “Do you know who is Haridasa? He was the Guru of Tansen. Tansen sang for the king and man. Haridasa sang for God. It is in this Temple that Haridasa had the divine vision of Krishna and attained Him!”
The devotees were pushing and pressing for the Lord’s Darshan, and Swami suddenly beckoned Father Charles Ogada to come to Him. With His unmistakable ‘Krishna chuckle’, He asked Father Charles, “Father, you too have come to see Krishna?” Father Charles replied, “Swami, I have come to see Krishna with Krishna!” With a big smile, Swami went on to talk about Radha and how she is the perfect example of pure devotion of one who is totally devoid of any trace of ‘I’. Swami said, “This is why Radha is regarded as the Queen of Krishna, not in the sense of wife, but because Radha’s Heart is the Heart of Krishna and Krishna’s Heart is the Heart of Radha.” Swami then revealed that truly, such a devotee becomes more powerful than the Lord Himself because the Lord becomes a prisoner to such a Heart without any ego. Swami said, “This is the reason why people call Radha first before Krishna and pray ‘Radha Krishna, Radha-Krishna’ and not ‘Krishna – Radha’”.
Thereafter, Swami and His entourage proceeded to a venue where lunch was arranged for all at the lawns. It was a wonderful lunch, and as Swami was dining in His room in the first floor, He was observing all the devotees from the window of His room to ensure all were eating well. Swami then revealed to the ladies who were serving Him, “These are the very same streets where Krishna would play and walk. Buildings have changed, that’s all. You were all with Krishna, and that’s why you have all come back today!” It was truly overwhelming to hear Swami utter these words.
Soon, Swami and His entourage proceeded to Mathura, the birth place of Lord Krishna. One of the most frequently visited temples in India, the temple is built around the prison cell where Krishna was born. Special permission were kindly given by the temple authorities to conduct a Satsang, for the very first time in the temple premises. It was indeed a momentous evening, listening to wonderful Krishna Bhajans offered at the Lotus Feet of Sai Krishna by Brother Sumeet Tappoo and other singers. Swami then beckoned Sri B N Narasimha Murthy to address all gathered, before He spoke about Krishna. Swami then blessed everyone with the statue of little Krishna, and He walked around handing them over to each person Himself! A blessing beyond comprehension!
Swami and His entourage proceeded for a quick snack break, and then departed back to Palwal, thus ending a historic day with Sai Krishna!
