Sri Sathya Sai Vaniniketanam Campus, Gadag – December 08, 2019
Hearing the prayers of His children, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba decided to spring a surprise visit today the Gadag Campus for girls. Out of their deep love for Bhagawan, the students quickly prepared the Campus within two days. They all joined hands, keeping Swami as their only focal point, and made various arrangements for the helipad, decorations, garlands, exhibitions and presentations.
On the morning of 8th December when the helicopter touched the grounds of Campus, the students and staff welcomed Swami, who is fully manifest in Sri Madhusudan, as Sri Madhusudan Sai, with jubilant shouts of Jaikar. Sri Madhusudan Sai who was accompanied by Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, Sri Kishore Parikh and Mrs Rekha Parikh from Singapore, was led to His residence in a procession of Veda chanting and dollu. After a short rest, Sri Madhusudan Sai came to the prayer hall where the students presented beautiful songs and a dance on Lord Shiva. He expressed great joy when one girl rendered a speech in Sanskrit and profusely blessed another girl when she spoke, and expressed that she finds Allah and Swami as the same. She also submitted her desire to start schools in her village where girls do not get education.
Sri Madhusudan Sai then addressed the students and stressed upon the need to develop an attitude of Dasyam or feeling of being a servant of the Lord, as the first step of spiritual journey. “Hanuman is one such example of a servant and when we serve God with this attitude, we will slowly become God. Hanuman never had any other identity of his own except, that he was the servant of Sri Rama and this is the feeling that one must develop.”
Thereafter, Sri Madhusudan Sai showered gifts on all the children and inaugurated the exhibition prepared by them. Students of the grade eight who are learning computer science, had prepared a PowerPoint presentation on the journey of their campus.
Sri Madhusudan Sai then partook lunch with all the students, staff and guests and thereafter, prepared for departure from the Campus. As He proceeded to the helipad amidst an ocean of tears from the students, He assured them of another visit very soon and then departed to the Gulbarga Campus.
Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence (SSSUHE), Gulbarga – December 08, 2019
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has often declared that His students are His property and that He loves being with them. It is that very same Divine Motherly and Fatherly Love that brought Swami manifested as Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai once more to the Sri Sathya Sai Vidyaniketanam Gulbarga campus.
At 4:10 p.m on Sunday, December 08, Swami arrived in Gulbarga by helicopter, accompanied by His entourage. After a loving welcome by the heads of the Campus Institutions, He proceeded to the University Pentagon building, escorted by a Vedam procession by University girls and school boys, and the slow march and impressive fanfare of the brass band of the Gulbarga Campus.
As Swami arrived at the Pentagon building, which was decorated with beautiful white and yellow flowers and with wonderful brightly coloured rangolis by the students, wardens, teachers and staff welcomed Him with flower Malas, with their hearts overflowing with childlike love for their divine Mother. When He entered the newly refurbished Prayer Hall where all the school, Pre-University and University children were eagerly awaiting for their very dearest Swami, the twinkle in His ocean-like deep bright eyes said it all! As His eyes met with every single child present, His face beamed with the most beautiful tender smile. All were singing the welcoming Swagatham song composed specially by the music students.
Swami then walked among the students blessing them with His Darshan, Sparshan and Sambhashan, and finally reached the dais. Swami’s guests from Singapore, ardent devotees Mr Kishore Parikh and his wife Rekha, along with Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, Chancellor of the Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence, also took their seats by Swami’s side.
Students offered some soulful renditions at Swami’s Lotus Feet, including His favourite Abhangs. The Lord joyfully listened to the songs which were filled with Bhavam. It was a beautiful sight indeed, resembling the grandeur of Vaikuntha, as if it had come down right here on earth. Swami also glanced around the Prayer Hall with great satisfaction, admiring the newly refurbished room with its glittering multi-star-like central chandelier and hi-tech equipment – His very own design as the Divine Architect, executed by His abled instruments.
After the music programme, Swami spoke about His travels to Mumbai and Delhi hospitals, and Rishikesh. He explained that hospitals are built close to cities for the convenience of easy access to medical supplies, blood and other emergency requirements, and that schools are built in remote places, far from cities in serene settings as it promotes the right kind of mindset – like the ancient Gurukulas. He also spoke about the sacrifice of His guests, Sri Kishore and Smt Rekha Parikh, which enabled the hospital project in Mumbai.
He then spoke about His visit to the Gadag girls’ campus, Sri Sathya Sai Vaniniketanam and asked the University of Human Excellence final year girl students, who had recently visited the Campus, about their experience, and what they had learnt while staying there. He was keen to hear about the problems and difficulties that they had encountered so that, as the ever-loving Guru, He could give His guidance. He told the students not only how to deal with the young children but also how to deal with elders. Only the Lord can, so clearly and simply, give the perfect formula for best managing a multitude of situations. Swami explained that, while nurturing children, it is essential to have a kind heart yet a clever mind; when dealing with elders Namakam (praising) followed by Chamakam (request) was the way – which made the entire hall erupt into laughter.
Swami expressed His happiness regarding the girls’ 4-day training at the Gadag campus. Swami then asked the University boys whether they were teaching the younger children on campus. He said that they must teach P.U. and High School students the subjects in which they are weakest, as that way, when the younger students ask them about those subjects, they in turn will improve their knowledge. Thus getting teaching training while learning all at the same time. He said students should hound the teachers until all their doubts are cleared, until all their questions receive a satisfying answer.
Swami said that Patience with ourselves is Self-Confidence; Patience with others is Understanding; and Patience with God is Faith. Throughout His discourse, Swami was so jovial and witty with His many jokes while interacting with students, bringing laughter in everyone’s heart. To celebrate Sri Kishore Parikh’s 70th birthday, all sung a birthday song in unison, after which Mangala Arati was performed to the Almighty Lord.
Prasadam was distributed and Swami, along with His guests, retired to His residence after promising to all that He would spend more time the following day.
