A bright and sunny morning was a joyous welcome sign for the students and staff who had accompanied Swami, as this meant a tour of the city yet again! Swami had advised the Sai youth in Singapore to take the students to the Museum, for them to learn the history of the nation that has achieved much against all odds like lack of natural resources, diverse population and minimum land, and in 54 years how it has earned the status of becoming one of the best countries in the world, thanks to the visionary leadership of its founder Lee Kuan Yew.
A little after 10 a.m. Swami departed from the Pillay residence to visit the office of some of His devotees. After blessing all with His precious advice, Swami returned after lunch to the Pillay residence, while all the Sai youth were preparing for an exclusive session with their dear Lord.
At around 5:30 p.m., amidst Bhajans, Swami emerged from His room in Sai Anandam Ashram. The next couple of hours was exhilarating and electrifying for all the youth who had gathered. Soul stirring Bhajans and devotional songs were presented, and thereafter a short presentation was made with an update on all the Seva activities which are currently underway. Swami told the youth, “Youth is all about struggle, all about facing the problem, conquering the peak and attaining it. Youth must achieve by putting in all efforts and not give up half way through.“
Swami spoke about the various projects which are underway in Fiji, Sri Lanka and Nigeria. He advised the youth to take up projects and initiatives, and ensure they are done consistently. “Follow the Master, face the devil, fight till the end and finish the game. This is the motto of the youth! What is devil? Devil is nothing but the obstructions you will face on the way. Many youth face the devil, but run away. But you must fight to overcome the obstructions, and finally God will show way! Nothing happens overnight, and don’t expect that things will just change. This is a transformation process, which always takes time. Destruction happens quickly, but construction takes time. Changing people’s attitudes or ideas are difficult, and to change people is even tougher. The most difficult task is human transformation, and this is what Swami has taken upon Himself, because nobody else will take it up! Begin in a small way, and the first beneficiary will be you – as you will be a better person. Whether rest of the world improves or not, at least you will improve!”
Swami then asked the youth to chant the Nirvana Shatakam, and for almost 40 minutes thereafter, He mercifully explained the meaning word by word, in an in-depth manner, in a way which no one can ever match, for it was straight out of the divine lips of God Himself! After Mangala Arati, dinner Prasadam was served to all.
The next morning, March 18, Swami’s entourage reached the airport at 7:00 a.m. to board their flight to the next destination, Laos. A land locked country, this was Swami’s second visit, and since His visit last year in 2018, many devotees who had understood the mind boggling phenomenon of Sai in the subtle by experiencing it for themselves, had once again gathered to welcomed their Lord. Devotees from many countries including Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Cambodia were all eagerly waiting to be in His divine presence. Brothers Rajesh and Kamal Jeswani, the Kolay brothers Debojit and Avijit, Brother Jitendra Singh and his family welcomed Swami at His very own abode. Snacks and refreshments were served to the Lord, and thereafter everyone rested for the evening.
