On the morning of February 24th 2019, Bhagawan visited Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva High School at 10.15 a.m. With eager anticipation, the staff and students had been working day and night for several days, making great efforts in order to please their beloved Lord.
Bhagawan arrived at Annapoorna prayer hall cum dining hall and was welcomed with Veda chanting, folk dances – Nandi Kolu and Kamsale. He entered the prayer hall where all the students, staff, seniors, doctors and guests were waiting for His Darshan.
The programme commenced with Veda chanting, with the chanting of Medha Suktham by the students of Grade 9 and Grade 10. Bhagawan was very pleased with them and blessed them profusely.
Thereafter, Sri G M Anantha Murthy, Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Composite High School gave his welcome address. He said that everyone was happy because of Bhagawan’s arrival and the explode and current of devotion was palpable. Sri Anantha Murthy spoke about various activities the students had undertaken and also appreciated the newly joined teachers who inspired the students to do Seva activities.
This was followed by a music programme by the students, who offered a bouquet of devotional songs both in Kannada and English, interspersed with talks by students.
Then, Sahil Kiram Mestha from Grade 10, a beneficiary of the Madiyala Narayana Bhat Scholarship expressed his gratitude to Bhagawan for providing him education which is totally free of cost, as he has come from a very poor family facing lot many problems.
Basawaraj from Grade 10 was the next speaker and went on to speak poetically and expressed his willingness to become a teacher and desire to continue serving in Bhagawan’s mission.
After this, there was a Bharatanatyam performance, followed by the Yogasana Presentation by the students.
Thereafter, Sri C Sreenivas, Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust, gave an inspiring speech wherein he spoke about Bhagawan’s infinite compassion. He shared some of his own childhood experiences and recollected his academic struggles before he came to Bhagawan. He concluded by advising the students to aspire towards doing the undone and to aim high and look high.
Bhagawan then interacted with the students, speaking in lucid Kannada and remembered that during His last visit, students were singing like crows. He expressed His satisfaction in the transformation of the students and said that He was very pleased with them as they had improved considerably as compared to His previous visit in May 2018. He spoke about Dr C Rajeswari, mother of Sri C Sreenivas, who was a doctor, but at the same time she was a nurse, cleaner and had many roles. She had worked in Nigeria and rendered much selfless service and now, 20 surgeries are being performed per day, at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospitals. Bhagawan advised the students to live as brothers and look after each other. He went on to explain about the four kinds of people: Rogi (one afflicted with illness), Bhogi (one seeking pleasures), Thyaagi (one who has renounced) and Yogi (Divine one). This world is full of Rogis and Bhogis, but it is only though sacrifice that man becomes immortal. Therefore, we must become Thyaagis who become Yogis. He urged everyone to be selfless and fearless.
Bhagawan then lovingly spent time taking group photographs with the students and then launched the school magazine and inaugurated His newly renovated room. Bhagawan also granted a private interaction to the Grade 10 students, showering them with love and advice for their futures. Sumptuous lunch Prasadam was then served and Bhagawan blessed everyone by distributing ice-creams to one and all. Thereafter, Mangala Arati was offered and Bhagawan returned to His residence.
