Day 1 – July 25, 2019
The visit of Bhagawan to Sri Sathya Sai Premaniketanam was an answer to the prayers of students who had prayed to Him to visit their Campus. It was the most wonderful and joyful surprise to the students when they got the news of Swami’s arrival!
All the students were lined up along the road to welcome their Master, their Swami. As soon as He got down from the Car, He was welcomed by the staff. After some refreshments were served to Swami and His guests who had accompanied Him, Mr Bob Imhoff, Dr David Cornsweet and his wife Mrs Jennie, He proceeded for Satsang. The thirst of all students was quenched as their Lord walked amidst them, blessed them, spoke to them, and showered His bountiful love.
Swami sat on His new Simhasana and all the students beamed in joy. Swami was lost in melodious Bhajans for a long time. This was followed by Veda Gosha. Swami and His guests were welcomed by Brother Gaurav, who spoke his heart out and told the students that everyone should follow in the footsteps of Swami’s guests who had accompanied Him, as they were walking in the footsteps of Sai.
A recipient of Sri Madiyala Narayan Bhatt scholarship spoke straight from his heart next. The student said Swami has given everything to him now, but before, he was struggling to get even get educated. Sri B N Narasimha Murthy spoke about the guests in detail and how fortunate everyone were, as Swami had decided to come to the Campus at a very short notice.
Swami showered His golden words and said that He could feel the devotion of the students had increased as they sang with much devotion. He quoted the example of Sabari who had to wait for 60 years for Rama, and every day she cleaned her house, lit a lamp, and collected fruits from the forest. “After waiting for 60 years, she got one Darshan of Rama. Here, you are very fortunate! God Himself is coming, hence one should not waste such an opportunity. How should this opportunity be used? You should be good, you should not have any selfish or impure thoughts. Why did Dhruva, Nachiketa, Markandeya get God? Because their minds were pure. You should also keep your minds pure.” Thereafter, He graciously had lunch with all the students and walked amidst them distributing ice-creams to each one.
After resting for some time, in the evening Swami blessed the grade 10 students with a one-hour interview, and guided them to take right decisions in their lives. Swami then proceeded for a Satsang, and blessed with His Divine message. He spoke to the students about the importance of chanting the name of the Lord – Namasmarana. “Remember when you chant the name of the Lord, the form also is with you, the Lord is right next to you, don’t forget that. Therefore, the moment you say, ‘Krishna’, better know that Krishna is there somewhere. Though you may not see, He is around you. And like is Rasaleela, He will multiply to become many; as many people chant, that many Krishnas will be there with you. Don’t think if your neighbour is chanting the name, ‘Krishna’, Krishna may not come to you. Remember, he can go everywhere and anywhere! Sarvada Sarvakaleshu – everywhere He is there all the time!”
After Satsang, Swami partook His dinner with the guests and retired for the day.
Day 2 – July 26, 2019 (Morning)
It was the Divine birthday of Sri Madhusudan Sai and everyone were blessed as the joyous day was celebrated with all in the Campus. Before departing to the Gadag Campus, a farewell Satsang was held with all the students and staff. After enjoying the Bhajans sung by the students, Sri B N Narasimha Murthy spoke about the life of Sri Madhusudan Sai and expressed how blessed everyone were for celebrating his birthday at the Campus. Then, Swami spoke and told the students that He was very happy with the students, would visit again very soon and stay for 3 days, to the excitement of all! He said, “Today on this stage behind Me there is a Lingam, which you have been worshipping that Lingam. You have faith that it is God Himself, it is not a mere Linga or a stone but that it is God Himself. With that feeling, you are worshipping. But some time ago, it did not have the form of a Linga. It was a stone. Where was it? Perhaps on the side of a road or in a home. Then a sculptor chiselled the stone and transformed it into the shape of a Linga, named it a Linga, and then gave it to all of you. Once you received it, that stone itself has now become God. What does it mean? When we all were born, we are also like stones. God in the form of a Guru transformed us into a Linga. How does he do that? He guides us to discard whatever is not Divine and makes us grow in Divine dimensions – Satya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema, Tyaga – and transforms us into the Divine. This is what is happening. In every stone, there is a Linga. But that is not easily visible because it needs to be chiselled and transformed. When the stone is in the hands of the sculptor, this will definitely happen but for this we have to surrender to the sculptor.
All of you have to come to Sathya Sai Baba institutions. If you surrender to Bhagawan Sathya Sai Baba, He will not only take care of your human needs but also transform you from human to Divine. He will uproot Kama krodha lobha moha mada matsarya and all other negative qualities and fill you with Divine feelings of Prema, Daya, Karuna, Tyaga, Bhakti and will transmute and transform you to become like Him. You need to have determination and surrender and pray with faith, ‘Swami, I have come to Your institution. I am like a rough stone. But I am offer myself at Your feet. Make me into one in Your likeness’, then definitely you all have an opportunity to become Divine. Having come to this Institution, merely studying worldly education is not enough, but you must have the prayer, ‘Swami, I want to be like You. Remove my negative thoughts and grant me love and compassion like You. Make me like You.’ Today, one man has become like this, tomorrow all of you too will become Divine. That faith you should have that Swami will make that happen!”
After blessing all the students and staff profusely, Swami took off from the Campus and all the hearts are all filled with His Divine Love and joy.
