Bhagawan landed at the boys campus, Sri Sathya Sai Divyaniketanam, Jayapura on November 05 at 10:30 a.m. He was welcomed in a grand manner by the Vedic chants offered by the boy students and Nadaswaram. Bhagawan then quickly proceeded to His residence in the campus premises along with the guests, spent few minutes there, and after blessing the students and staff members with His presence, He proceeded to the Sriniketanam campus.
A grand welcome awaited the Lord at the girls campus. Amidst Vedic chants by the girl students and Mangalavaadyam, Swami first proceeded to the temple premises of Mother Annapoorna, whom Bhagawan lovingly calls the ‘Warden’ of the Girls campus. He took the guests around and showed them the deity and explained as to how Mother Annapoorna takes care of the children with utmost love and care. The culmination of Gayatri Homa, Annapoorna Homa and Sai Gayathri Homa then took place in Bhagawan’s divine presence, which was marked by the sacred Poornahuthi ritual, where various auspicious items were offered to the deities invoked.
After the Poornahuthi, Bhagawan inaugurated the new building for the girls and entered the magnificent prayer hall with the guests and VIP’s. The function started with Ms B Prarthana, Principal of the girls campus welcoming all the guests, dignitaries and the elders of the Institution.
Two talks by the girl students followed. Sunitha, a grade 10 student spoke in English and narrated about the unique bond that exists between all the students and Bhagawan. She narrated her own experience and spoke as to how Bhagawan made a huge impact in her life. The essence of her talk was about the 3H formula that Bhagawan provides uniquely to all the students of HIS Institutions – Head of Shankara, Heart of Buddha and Hands of Janaka.
This talk was followed by Chetana, a student of grade 7, who spoke in Kannada. Her talk was straight from the heart and she narrated with gratitude as to how Bhagawan came to the rescue of her education, when her own father could not afford it. She explained to everyone that apart from quality education, they were also blessed to have a good atmosphere which promoted their spirituality as well. Bhagawan was moved by her talk and blessed her with a token of HIS love.
The dignitaries who spoke were mystified and deeply touched too by the unflinching love and immense service activities.
After the talks by the students, Sri Krishan Singhal spoke about his early life and career. Born in Delhi in a middle-class family, Singhal ji pursued his graduation in India and further education in Canada. He said that he was speechless looking at the love of Bhagawan and fortune of Bhagawan’s students, who were blessed with 3 S’s – Studies, Sports and Spiritual education. He acknowledged the efforts made by architect Srivatsan for giving the best finishing to the building.
Sri T D Rajegowda made his opening remark by saying ‘God is very much here’. He said that he used to participate in many debates about the existence of divinity. But, after witnessing this grand event, he said that he was speechless looking at the selfless love showered by Bhagawan on His children and said that “God is very much present here”. He ended his short talk with gratitude to Bhagawan and promised to provide good road facility from the main road leading to the campus, as an offering from him.
Sri Bheemeshwara Joshi then spoke at length about the greatness of the mother land Bharat and urged all the children to develop good character and lead noble lives. He told the students to become ambassadors of Bhagawan Baba and preach HIS ideals to the whole world. He asked students to come back after their education and serve Bhagawan to the best of their abilities, and repeatedly told the children to uphold their personality and excel in all the fields. Apart from this, he also advised the students to have extreme love and gratitude towards their parents.
Many alumni participated in the Seva activities and helped the staff and students to put up the show befitting the grand occasion. The heartfelt narration of Sister Deepika reminding sublime love of Bhagawan, bringing three generations of women students from Anantapur to current Campuses, under one platform to this institution made most of the eyes wet.
Bhagawan expressed His gratitude by distributing His tokens of love to all the people (Sculptors, contractors, hardware suppliers, technicians and architect) who toiled day and night to complete the project and ensure that it is ready as per Bhagawan’s wish and felicitated them.
Sri B N Narasimha Murthy then gave a short talk highlighting the relation of pure and selfless love that existed between India ad. Canada, Ottawa and Jayapura, which prompted the Singhals to offer the Sriniketanam campus for Bhagawan’s children. He spoke about the love of Sri Singhal, who calls Bhagawan as ‘BOSS’ of his company in Canada. He then expressed his gratitude to Sri T B Jayachandra, Hon’ble former Minister, Govt. of Karnataka, who worked relentlessly to pass the bill for the establishment of the Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence at Gulbarga.
Bhagawan then gave a beautiful discourse highlighting the importance of sacrifice and the principle of ‘Vasudhaika Kutumbakam’. He said that apart from the worldly knowledge, students should strive to cultivate the attitude of service and sacrifice. Above all, He emphasised the importance of the presence of GOD in one’s life.
He said that if Mother Annapoorna was made the Warden earlier, now Mother Saraswathi would be the ‘Principal’ of the Institution. (Both holy places Horanadu and Sringeri being in close vicinity of Jayapura). He went on to inspire the students that both the Mothers will update the progress of the students to Him, and asked them to make prompt use of their golden time at the Institution. Bhagawan declared that they were very much present there and it’s only a matter of faith that one could get the experience! He concluded His discourse by advising the students to ‘Be good; see good; do good. This is the best way to God’.
The discourse was followed by Mangala Arati. Later, all the devotees were served Prasadam, while, Bhagawan visited His room with the guests. Lunch was served to all the devotees and guests.
Around 3:30 pm, Bhagawan proceeded from Sriniketanam to the Sri Sathya Sai Divyaniketanam campus, spent few moments there again and departed after profusely blessing all the students and the staff members.
