Come first of January, the world awakens to a new day with renewed energy, rejuvenated spirit and revitalised belief. The day brings with itself hope that the year ahead would be filled with happiness and prosperity. Almost as if He was strengthening this belief, Swami came amidst the audience, making His way to every nook and corner of the auditorium, blessing every individual that was a part of the gathering, reassuring them that the New Year would indeed by a happy one. On this chilly winter morning, Bhagawan was the warmth that filled every heart, spreading joy and cheer as He glided through the devotees and students, making his way to the dais.
The New Year Celebrations began with the launch of the second volume of the musical bhajan album, titled ‘Bhajan Sudha’. The album was conceived by Bhagawan one year ago and as per His wish and command, the musicians began working on compositions and completed nine compositions in a record time of two weeks. The first album was released by Bhagawan on the same day, exactly one year ago. The album launch was followed by the recitation of Vedic hymns by the first year pre university students of Muddenahalli Campus.
The first speaker for the evening was Sri Nithya Shanti, founder and leader of The Nithya Shanti foundation, a true seeker who gave up a promising corporate career in order to become a Buddhist monk and later renounced even monkhood to travel the world and impart the knowledge of ancient scriptures through practical workshops. Sri Nithya Shanti gave a thundering talk, encouraging the crowd to think of everyone as Swami, including one’s own self. He urged the audience not to restrict Bhagawan to a chair or to a photograph, but to visualise every living being as an extension of the same divinity. He ended with a prayer to be impartial like the sun, radiating love and light.
The next speaker was Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, chief mentor of the Sri Sathya Loka Seva Institutions. Sri Murthy mentioned that the New Year message for Him was to try and see God in everyone and everyone in God, living without discrimination. He went on to say that the most beautiful feeling that Swami arouses in every devotee is the experience of selfless love, which is what attracted and continues to attract people to Him. The crown of all service, the crown of all work is love. He urged all the students and devotees to develop unwavering faith and unflinching devotion for that alone helps one truly surrender to the Master.
This was followed by Bhagawan’s divine message for the New Year.
The morning celebrations ended with Mangala Arati being offered to Bhagawan.
