Shivarathri Celebrations – Day Three, Morning

Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli

February 25, 2017

The divine energy and spiritual gaiety at Muddenahalli was at its pinnacle after the auspicious Lingodbhavam on the Mahashivaratri night (24th Feb, 2017). The blessed devotees who were filled with bliss after witnessing the divine manifestation assembled to celebrate the third day of the convergence of Shiva with the Shakti Swaroopa at the Sri Sathya Sai Premamrutham Hall in the morning. Bhagawan who arrived at the hall from the back stage was welcomed by the bhajans sung in all glory to Lord Shiva. After lovingly giving Darshan and blessing the devotees gathered, He took His seat, enjoying the glory of His names being sung with full devotion.

Speeches in the Divine Presence

Once the Akhand Bhajans concluded, the morning session began with a heartfelt and inspiring speech by Sri Sumeet Tapoo, a singer and a long-time devotee of Bhagawan. He spoke about how Bhagawan fulfilled his desire to sing in His presence for Shivarathri and shared a premonitory dream that he got on the 13th Feb, 2017 in which he had seen the Lingodbhavam taking place exactly like it happened on the night of 24th Feb, 2017.

The second speaker for the morning was Sri B N Narasimha Murthy, Chief Mentor, Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institutions. Narrating an incident when Bhagawan had said that one cannot comprehend Him but only experience and enjoy Him, he succinctly brought out the message that the divine can only be experienced by a pure heart.

Divine Discourse

Bhagawan then delivered His Divine message. And as an answer to the silent prayers of Sri Sumeet Tapoo, He presented the Lingam that He had manifested the previous night to the singer, concluding His Divine Discourse with the message that man should desire for God alone.

The morning proceedings came to a close with the offering of Aarthi and distribution of prasadam to all.
