The Premamrutham hall at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli heralded a grand celebration on the eve of the incarnation of the Mahavatar Sathya Sai Baba. Dignitaries, national leaders and awardees, humanitarians from different walks of life, devotees, students, last but not the least, youth delegates had all assembled to pay their respect and gratitude to the Lord in human form, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Karma Yoga has been the path laid by Swami to reach the divine. Swami prescribes selfless acts as the capsules towards godhood. He continues to beseech His followers to walk on this path, for a faster redemption of themselves. Following His doctrine, the entire Sai flock at Muddenahalli had gone to do Grama Seva, at the daybreak of November 22 2017, to offer tokens of love and gratitude to the people. Two groups had embarked on the road to Seva after seeking Bhagawan’s blessings. The first group of delegates and devotees served sweets to 30 schools that the Annapurna trust has adopted. The second group offered sweets, food and clothes to 10 villages.
The evening programme commenced with Veda chanting by the students of the Sri Sathya Sai Sharada Nikethanam, Mandya campus. Next in stream were a few launches that were blessed by Bhagawan, the first being the Telugu translation of the book, The Story Divine authored by Sri. Madhusudhan Rao Naidu. The book has been translated by Smt. Sri Devi, with assistance from Sri Sreenivas.
The second launch was the much awaited sequel of Sri Madhusudhan Rao Naidu’s book which comes in 2 volumes, viz. The Story Divine-Living for God (Part 2) and The Story Divine-Living for God, gathering His flock.

After a video display of the integrated system of education for men and women that is provided by the Sathya Sai mission, there were 2 young students who were blessed by Bhagawan to deliver their talks. The first speaker was, Avi Gopinath, studying in the PU College of the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institution. He hails from Toronto and his only aim is to please Bhagawan. His story of transformation was honest, imbued in an air of freshness while yet retaining his naturalness. He admired and spoke with love about all his friends and teachers who were there to support and love him, while his family was away. And he thanked Swami for all the love and He being the reason behind his happiness.
The second speaker blessed by Bhagawan was yet another student doing her college in Sri Sathya Sai Centre for Human Excellence, GK Kavya. Her only goal is to make Swami happy by serving the society. Her talk brought about the awareness she has at a very young age. She directs every action of hers based on whether it would make Swami happy or not and practices being selfless in her daily life.
After the talk by the students, there was the much awaited award giving ceremony for students and staff who have excelled in various aspects during their life at the Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institutions. The next session were talks given by 2 eminent personalities. The first speaker was Dr.Tejaswini Anantakumar, a socialite and wife of Sri Anantakumar, Member of Parliament, the BJP government. She commended the Sathya Sai Institutions as the symbol of service in its true spirit at the modern age. Next in sequence was the band recital by Sai’s Angels, who are tutored by the famous pianist and a long time devotee of Bhagawan, Mr. Dimitris Lambrianos. It was a delight to hear the band perform to perfection. This was followed by a cultural programme by the students of the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva group of institutions, a drama titled, The Glory of Sai. Swami has always laid importance on selfless love and selfless service for which He Himself, has set an example. He chooses His people who are ready to walk on this path and one such devotee was Sr. Madiyal Naryana Bhatt who wished that every child should be provided with free education. The drama expatiated on the journey of Sri Narayana Bhatt, and what we see today in the subtle presence is nothing but a small wish of a selfless devotee, getting fulfilled by the compassionate Lord Sathya Sai Baba. It was a power packed performance filled with action, music, dance and devotion.
The band players and the performers of the drama were profusely blessed by Bhagawan. Mangala Arati was offered to Swami and thus concluded a long, beautiful, glorious day, a day that will be remembered with love and devotion for eons to come.
